Here's a very different project I've just completed.  Commissioned by a friend who wanted a classic Tin Tin style rocket for her husband's 'special' birthday gift, I designed and projected managed this creation.  With the incredible help of a lathe craftsman and the skills of an auto re-spraying company we came up with this!

It stands 85cm high and is a hefty, solid structure.  It certainly has got a wow factor when visitors step into the hall of the house and see this amazing Rocket all ready...

This was fun.  Inspired by Pascal Campion's fantastic illustrations I thought I'd play around on my iPad using SketchbookPro software and this is what happened!

I recall those childhood days desperately trying to get traditional diamond kites to get aloft and I'd often wonder if we could try the car-drag approach.  Sadly my dad's common sense prevailed and it had to remain just a picture in my head... until now.
